Complete the Picture #2

This is a simple art activity in which the student starts with half an image (clipped from a magazine) and finishes the drawing.

Supplies:

White paper (thicker paper, like card stock, works best)
Pictures cut from magazines
Scissors
Glue
Crayons, colored pencils or markers

Find and cut out a picture from a magazine (it should be about the size of a piece of paper). Animals, nature scenes, cars, buildings, a portrait of a person, and works of art work well.
Cut a piece of white paper slightly larger than the magazine picture you cut out.

Cut the magazine picture in half (vertical or horizontal, depending on the image).
Glue half of the image onto the white paper, positioning it on the paper where it would be if the picture were intact.
Have the student complete the picture, using crayons, markers, or colored pencils on the blank half. Students have to use logic and their imagination in order to finish the drawing.
