Albrecht Dürer (May 21, 1471 - April 6, 1528) was a German painter and graphic artist.
Painted in 1505 by Dürer, ‘Portrait of a Young Venetian Woman’ shows an Italian woman with ringed curls and a detailed, elegant dress. We do not know who she is, as the records have gotten lost through the ages. But she seems to be a high class, elite woman from her clothing and jewellery. In the original painting her pale, porcelain-like skin is contrasted by her vivid red hair and outfit.
