Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) was a very popular Japanese painter and printmaker from Edo (now called Tokyo). This coloring page is based on his ink-on-paper painting "Tokaido (Eastern Sea Route): Kanaya, Distant Bank of Oï River," done in 1885. It is from Hiroshige's series of paintings, "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo."
