You can make unusual folded envelopes/cards with curved flaps. This project is made out of construction paper, gift wrapping paper, or pretty wallpaper scraps. You could even make a tiny envelope to match a gift you’re giving.
- A printer
- A piece of paper (colored construction paper works well)
- A pencil
- Scissors or pinking shears
- Glue
- Optional – Stickers
Instructions
Go to the template page and print it (colored construction paper works well). For a smaller template, click here.
You can use your printout itself as a single card, or use it as a template; tracing it onto gift wrap, a wallpaper scrap, or other fancy paper.
Carefully cut out the envelope.
You could use pinking shears instead of regular scissors to give your envelope an unusual jagged finish.
Write your message on the inside of the envelope.
Fold over the flaps, one at a time, on top of the central square. When you get to the last flap, gently push one edge of the flap under the first flap.
Address your envelope on the other side.
You now have an unusual envelope/letter with curved flaps! If you want to seal it, you can either tape the flaps down securely or put a pretty sticker where the four flaps meet.
