Enchanted Learning Software's Bendable Magnetic Animals and People More Kinder Crafts
These bendable, fuzzy magnetic animals and people are simple to make and great to play with later. They make wonderful refrigerator magnets that you can pose in incredible ways. If you make more than one, you can create an adorable group of critters.
Remember to keep all magnets away from computers.

Supplies needed:
|
Twist two long pipe cleaners together to make a sturdy double pipe cleaner. |
Attach the long double pipe cleaner to a large, doughnut-shaped magnet (this will be the monkey's head, body, and tail). Wrap the pipe cleaner around the magnet a few times to secure it. |
Twist a second long pipe cleaner tightly around the other pipe cleaner (this will form the monkey's long arms). Attach a small, doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each arm (these magnets will be the monkey's hands). |
Twist a third, shorter pipe cleaner tightly around the body pipe cleaner (this will form the monkey's short legs). Attach a small, doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each leg (these magnets will be the monkey's feet) and the tail. |
You can now pose your monkey in any way you'd like, attaching it to the refrigerator or other iron or steel surfaces. |
Spider:
Wrap a long pipe cleaner around a large, doughnut-shaped magnet a few times, foming two legs. |
Attach a small doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each leg. |
Use three more long pipe cleaners to make the remaining 6 legs. Attach a small doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each leg. |
Bend each of the legs upwards, and you have a posable, magnetic spider. |
Person:
Fold a long pipe cleaner in half (make a V-shape) and thread it through a large doughnut- shaped magnet. |
Starting at the bottom of the V, twist the ends together to form a short, sturdy double pipe cleaner. |
Twist a short pipe cleaner tightly around the other pipe cleaner near the large magnet (this will form the person's arms). Attach a small, doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each arm (these will be the person's hands). |
Attach a large, doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of the body (this is the person's hips). |
Twist two long pipe cleaners together to make a sturdy double pipe cleaner. Fold it in half and thread it through the hip magnet and wrap it around again to secure it (this V will form the person's long legs). Attach a small, doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each leg (these will be the person's feet). |
You now have a posable, magnetic person; you can make a whole family and pose them together. |
Dog:
Twist two long pipe cleaners together to make a sturdy double pipe cleaner. |
Attach the end of the double pipe cleaner to a large, doughnut-shaped magnet. Wrap the pipe cleaner around the magnet a few times to secure it. |
Twist a second short pipe cleaner tightly around the other pipe cleaner. Repeat; these will form the dog's legs. Attach a small, doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each leg (these magnets will be the dog's paws). |
Attach two very short lengths of pipe cleaner to the head for ears. |
You now have a bendable, magnetic dog that you can pose with your magnetic person; you can make a leash using a pipe cleaner or a short string with small magnets attached to each end. |
Insect:
Twist two long pipe cleaners together to make a sturdy double pipe cleaner. |
Attach the end of the double pipe cleaner to a large, doughnut-shaped magnet. Wrap the pipe cleaner around the magnet a few times to secure it. |
Twist a short pipe cleaner tightly around the other pipe cleaner. Repeat two more times; these three pipe cleaners will form the insect's six legs. Attach a small, doughnut-shaped magnet to the end of each of the six legs and at the tail end of the body. |
Attach a short pieces of pipe cleaner to the head to be the two antennae. Also add a short mouth to the head. You now have a bendable, magnetic insect that you can pose. |
