Make a beautiful floral Mother’s Day card using construction paper. Each flower in the bouquet lists a chore you will do for your mother. A short message for mom is included inside the card.
- Various colors of construction paper
- Scissors
- Tape or glue
- Markers or crayons
Instructions
Fold a colorful piece of construction paper in half. Then decorate the front of the card.
Using a different color of construction paper than you used for the card, print out the Vase and Statements Template. Cut out the vase and scroll.
Decorate the vase and finish the statements on the scroll.
Glue the scroll to one side of the inside of the card. On the other side of the inside of the card, glue or tape the vase to the card (leave the top of the vase unglued, you will be putting paper flowers in the vase later).
For each card, cut 2-3 small flowers using colorful paper (just cut out almost circular shapes, about 2 inches across). Cut the same number of stems from green paper. Each stem should be about 5-6 inches long and about an inch thick. If you like, print out this Flower and Stem Template.
Then tape each stem to a flower.
On each stem, write a chore that you will do for mom, such as: “One car wash” or “I will clean the family room”.
Put your flowers in the vase inside the card. You now have a great card for your mother!
