Do all dinosaurs Have Tails?
from Reese B., age 9, Kingsport, Tenesee, The United States; July 22, 2001
MIKE: Yes, they all have tails. Some are very short for their size, like in Triceratops, but others are ridiculously long, as in Diplodocus. Tails are very useful. They are defensive weapons and are the place where the main legs muscles originate. In the two-legged dinosaurs, they also serve as a balance-beam, to keep the animal from falling face first into the dirt.
