The Test of Time A Novel by I. MacPenn |
Hello again, I have another question in the movie Jurassic Park Dilophosaurus is shown small but in a book i read it was about 20 ft long and weighed up to a ton. Who is right? Or was it not an adult yet?
from Lee.B, age 14, Terre Haute, Indiana, United States; July 23, 2001
TOM: The movie Dilophosaurus was poorly done. The head was wrong (they used a modified version of the T. rex head), there is no evidence for a frill or poision in Dilophosaurus, and it was far too small. Real Dilophosaurus was indeed much larger (22 feet or more).
Although the movie makers *could* argue that it was only a youngster, almost every other dinosaur they showed was supposed to be an adult.
