Vocabulary maps are graphic organizers that can be useful in helping a student learn new vocabulary words.
For each new vocabulary word, the student writes the word, its definition, its part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, adverb, etc.), a synonym, an antonym, draws a picture that illustrates the meaning of the word, and writes a meaningful sentence using the word.

The student defines the word, uses the word in a sentence, identifies which part of speech it is, draws a picture that exemplifies the word, determines how many syllables it has, finds rhyming words, supplies synonyms and antonyms, etc. |
Customized Vocabulary Square Generator You can generate customized vocabulary squares. You pick the word that goes in the center, and then print your customized worksheet. The worksheets have the student write the word's definition, use it in a sentence, list its part of speech, etc. |
