The 6th President of the Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy (born 1978), has a biography stranger than any TV show. Quite literally.
After getting a law degree from Kyiv National Economic University, Zelenskyy went into entertainment. Between between a screenwriter, producer, and stand-up comic, he also played the Ukrainian president in the TV show Servant of the People. When the popular show ended in 2019, Zelenskyy entered politics and ran for the actual Presidency — winning the election and becoming the leader of Ukraine later that same year.
When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Zelenskyy provided inspiration to the Ukrainian people in their strong resistance against the invading forces, and he gained worldwide admiration for his leadership.
When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Zelenskyy could have left, but he remained in the embattled country. The Ukrainians showed strong resistance against the Russian forces, and Zelenskyy gained worldwide admiration for his leadership.
