New, Unknown Dinosaur Found in Bolivia

At a new site containing many sets of dinosaur trackways and some fossils, the strange footprints of perhaps two new, previously unknown dinosaurs have been found. Located in the Kila Kila region of Bolivia, 403 miles (650 km) southeast of La Paz, this large area of dinosaur trackways was found in 1995, but the find was only announced recently by David Keremba, president of the Paleontology Society of the San Francisco Xavier University. There are at least 50 sites with prints scattered over a large area. The trackways sites are at high altitudes, between 8,333 feet (2,500 meters) and 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) above sea level.
Talking about the new dinosaurs, Keremba said, "We have found no literature about prints that appear to be from some giant quadruped, in one case, and of small quadrupeds in another two cases. ... After a lot of consultations with foreign experts, we think we are facing an unknown dinosaur, a new species which has only been found here in Kila Kila."
Keremba described the new footprints as being square in shape, belonging to a large four-legged dinosaur up to 66 feet (20 meters) long with a pelvis at least three feet (one meter) wide.
Keremba is working with Swiss paleontologist Christian Meyer, who is also working at another Bolivian trackways site at Cal Orcko near Sucre These two remarkable sets of trackways are only about 124 miles (200 km) apart from one another.
