Elements Wheel - Common Metals This 2-page print-out makes a common metals chemical elements wheel; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. The pages are attached using a metal brad. Note: the back wheel is slightly larger than the front wheel; this makes it easier to turn the wheel. When you spin the wheel, elements and facts about them appear, including the elements: gold, silver, copper, aluminum, nickel, iron, lead, and tin. For each element, the wheel includes its abbreviation, some facts about it, its atomic number (the number of protons in one atom of that element), and its atomic weight (the average mass of an atom's natural isotopes). Write the 8 elements on the wheel, starting with the element with the lowest atomic number. |
