*** OUTLINE MAP PRINT-OUTS ***
Our outline maps of the world, the seven continents, and
a growing list of countries are a great resource for
teachers, parents, and home-schoolers. These unlabeled
maps are so simple and flexible that they can be used for
an open-ended variety of educational purposes.
Children can fill in the names of the continents, or the countries, or the oceans. They can locate and write the names of the major cities. You can use the maps to show students the overall shape of a continent or a country, without the children having to interpret a complicated map full of detail. They can even fill in animal habitats or migration routes.
Your imagination will yield yet more uses for these outline maps.
*** TYPES OF MAPS: PROJECTIONS ***
Read about the different ways that mapmakers project the
three-dimensional globe onto a two-dimensional map.
