Now, many people have been disgrunted over the results of the latest Dino Warz deathmatch. In the last contest, T-Rex sue beat all the other contenders to remain king-(grrrr.....) er I mean Queen of all the dinosaurs. However, the Raptor team has filed a appeal to fight the Queen again, and she has taken up the challange! How will this turn out? Let's interview the Queen

Bill: Hi sue!
Sue: Hi Bill!
Bill: OK, why did you choose to fight the raptors again?
Sue: Naa, I have been receiving a lot of hate mail from the raptor fans over the last fight, so I'd like to prove it to them I can take on a pack of any raptor to shut them up!

Sue: Yes, they should learn that I am Queen! Growww.....

Remainding 10 Raptors: Surround her! (They form a circle around Sue) Sue: Err, what are you doing?
Alpha Megaraptor: Get her! (leaps at Sue along with other Megaraptors) Sue: Here we go again....(ducks)
Megaraptors: Huh? AHHHHHHHH (BONK BONK BONK They collide with each other midair, knocking themselves out cold)
Sue: Ah! A buffet (Crunch bite crunch bite eats the Megaraptors at her lesiure.)
Bill: Well, it looks like another victory by Sue. According to the Deathmatch rules, only one appeal can be made. It looks like the opposing force has failed in their attempt to oust Sue as the Queen. The Tyrannosaurus are going to erule for another 65 million yea- (Two gigantic packs of raptors, each 100 strong, march up)
Raptors: NOT SO FAST!
Bill: Not again? Another team?
Sue: HEY, 200 ON ME, NO FAIR!
Bill: That's right, the appeal has failed, go back to your musuems!
Raptors: We may not be the king of dinosaurs, but we are making sure Sue will not be too either! If we can't have it, nobody will!
Sue: For such smart dinos, you all sure are childish!
Raptors: We don't care, attack!
Sue: I am doomed!
Raptors: Sue-Imperator can't save you now!
John: Not so fast!
Sue: Hey, what brings you here John?
Raptors: Who's that punk?
John: The name's John Rambo.
Sue: You don't wanna mess with him guys......
Raptors: As in the first blood, second blood movies?
John Rambo: Yes.
Raptors: Get out of the way!
John Rambo: Now, I have been watching this telecast and saw Sue in trouble, that's why I came on down to help.
Sue: Ah..it's nothing.

Vote Velociraptor? Get cool? GET REAL! The lousy Velociraptor was only the size of a medium dog and was correspondingly small in intelligence. I donno which corner of your mind all this rubbish came from, but a pack of Velociraptors will NEVER take on T.Rex, not even 100 Velociraptors will be able to take down T.Rex. T.Rex was simply too big, fast and smart. He will kill the Velociraptors with astonishing rapidity.

So much for the stupid Velociraptors. Voting for Velociraptor is anything but cool, it's a blatant overestimation of understrengthed dinosaurs by people who donno anything 'bout dinosaurs, but I guess that's the way most raptor fans are. Vote T.Rex, vote the king, that's cool.

So, some people think that T.Rex is a scavenger...

This is a theory put forward by Jack Horner. This man being a palaeontologist who thrives on controversy. Don't get me wrong, some of his more off the wall ideas have been right on the money. However this is one of the ones which don't hold up to scrutiny.

There are only a few creatures which can currently live entirely as scavengers. The most well known of these being vultures, crows and other birds.

The main problem with living entirely on a diet of dead meat is finding it without expending more energy than one gains from eating it. This is fine if one can soar on thermals all day using relatively little energy and spot a dead or dying animal from several miles away - which vultures can.

With land animals this becomes very difficult as one has to have an incredible sense of smell to locate those few animals which die through natural attrition.

Certainly if a T. rex comes across a dead bront^h^h^h^h^hApatasaurus it would merrily scare away any other predators and chow down - all modenr carnivores do this when the opportunity arises - it's got to be more energy efficient to scoff something already dead than running after it first!. However it wouldn't grow to be so big and toothy living on the occasional bit of carrion that comes it's way.

Unless, of course, it was a cold blooded creature - but that would be contrary to Bakkers main contention that dinosaurs were warm blooded (which I agree with). But you can't have it both ways. Bakker shows in other of his own works that the T. rex predator/prey ratios were what one would have expected from a warm blooded predator. The ratios for a scavenger would differ from this.

The other problem is that of the T. rex weak and feeble arms. Some studies have shown that these arms were in fact incredibly powerful (although definately short) which implies they had a definate purpose. Exactly what that purpose was is unclear - but it isn't necessary for the animal to have used it's two fingered claws in catching prey - its array of sharp teeth set in powerful jaws would be perfectly adequate. After all, no one would suggest that Eagles or Owls must be scavengers because they have no arms at all.

Make Your Own Raptor!

To make a real life living raptor dinosaur, you'll need the following ingredients:

-Washing Detergent(with enzymes!)
-Spoon
-An unfertilized chicken egg
-sugar
-deoxyribose (from chemist shop)
-phosphate (from fertilizer)
-A lot of patience

Steps:

1. The dinosaur we are going to make here is a Velociraptor. Take the detergent and fractionally remove the enzymes from it. Store the enzymes in a seperate jar. Throw away the deenzymed detergent.

2. Now you have to seperate the emzymes into their abbreviated A, T, G, and C bases.

3. React the sugar and deoxyribose to obtain sugar deoxyribose, store it.

4. Now, on the molecular level, link up your sugar deoxyribose and phosphate into repeating units by linking them up to the enzymes, following the scheme below if you want to get a Velociraptor:

My favorite is T.Rex, they fascinate me.
I draw them all the time, and, not to sound conceited or anything, I'm quite good at it. I for one think they look kind've odd when people draw them with feathers, but that's just me.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Despite possibly being surpassed in size by Giganotosaurus carolonii, this overgrown coelurosaur still deserves its reputation as the brawniest and baddest of the Mesozoic carnivores. Giganotosaurus was a carnosaur, and so just a very large play on those simplistic slashers, whose skull shape had been utilized by archosaurs for millions of years. Tyrannosaurus and its kin, however, had mouths built like melon ballers lined with railroad spikes, and everything about it was built around its lethal jaws, the neck and huge hind limbs that drove them, and the heart and lungs that powered it all. Its arms, though possibly very strong, were reduced to tiny stubs on the animal's barrel-chest, and its tail was slighter than that of other large theropods as well.

Chaptor 9 Hatchlings

"The eggs are hatching." Chaff said as everyonee woke up.

"So they are." A dark shadow could be seen in a dark corner of the tent.

"I don't know who you are, and how you got here, which is, the major question in my mind, but I want you to leave right now." Holland shouted.

"No need to shout." Said the dark figure. "I am Magi."

"Magi. You were named after this island?" Chaff said.

"No, I named this island." Magi said.

"What do you want from us?"

"The eggs."

"Take them." Jim said. He didn't want anything to do with the eggs.

"I thank you." And before Holland could say anything, Magi left.

Holland was very angry with Jim. He would not speak to him. The reason he was mad was because he wanted to take pictures of them, be the first person to find dinosaurs on an unknown island. He might also start a museum of pictures. It was a pleasent thought, but he didn't have the eggs.

Konishi was mad at Jim too. He wanted to take the dinosaurs back to China. He would make afortune with them. He would have a museum with robotic dinosaurs, and then he would bring out the real ones. Everyone would scream and then-

"Konishi, wake up!" Jim yelled.

"What?!" Konishi yawned wthout looking at who was talking to him.

"Wake up!"

"Why?"

"I donno."

"(YAWN) Thats nice." "You! Go away!"

That night Holland went out to find Magi. Instead he found a tent, which wold later lead him to what he wanted to find more than anything else. A Tyrannosaurrs Rex.

I don't really hate T-rex, I just don't like his fans, who like to insult every dinosaur besides T-rex! Let's face it, both dinosaurs were good hunters. They just had their different ways of killing their prey.
But in Taekwondo, (a Korean martial art) the people who are small, fast and agile (like raptors) do better than the ones that are big, slow, and strong (like T-rex). Of course, I'm not saying that raptors did martial arts, but Taekwondo is a form of kick-boxing, which the raptors probably did a lot of. Though both meat-eaters come from the ceoleosauria (did I spell that right?) they were very different. Both dinosaurs should be respected. This is a vote for raptors.

My favorite dinosaur is diplodocus because he wasn't a threat to anyone. He was a vegetarian and lived mostly in the water.

Island

Chaptor 8 Mother

The mother dinosaur jumped on Andrew's back, and clawed him. Fire after fire was shot, but since she was on his back, Andrew missed every shot. The Dilo sheredded Moore. The Moother sniffed the ground. She growled lowly. She Knew Holland, Konishi, Chaff, and Richard were there. She had killed Moore, and was ready to kill anyone else who threatened her eggs.

The crew was hiding behind a bush. The Mother looked everywhere, but somehow missed finding them everytime. Then she came to the bush. She had found them! She snapped at Holland, as they ran toward camp. Holland got bitten several times. As soon as they got back to camp, they were relieved to see Jim, and Charolette (Carly's real name) firing at it.

"No don't!" Holland yelled.It was too late though. The Dilo was dead.

"That was a female!" Holland yelled at them.

"Now we will have to take care of the eggs." Richard replied.

"Well what I want to know is what kind of dinosaur is it?" Jim asked.

"It is a Dilophosaurus." Chaff answered.

"Meat-eater, or plant-eater?"

"Meat-eater."

"O.k. There is no way I am taking care of a meat-eater!"

"We have to look for the nest." Holland said.

Holland chose Richard, and Chaff to help look for the nest. When they found the tent, they just followed the footprints to the nest. They soon found the nest, got all the eggs, and left.

When they got back to camp, Holland analyzed the eggs.

"These eggs are just about ready to hatch." Holland said. "In fact they should hatch by tommarrow!"

"What!?!" Jim screamed.

"Calm down."

Day five

Andrew Moore was killed by a Dilo today. We were almost killed too. When we got back to the camp the Dilo was shot. We have to take care of the babies. They should be hatching soon.

Still no luck on the tyrannosaurus.

Tyrannosaurus Rex, he's the most powerful and deadily dinosaur in all of coelurosauria and he could beat every other major dinosaur group in coelurosauria, for example, including all of the dromaeosauridae, oviraptorosauria and troodontidae.

But that's not all. He could also beat all the dinosaurs in Torvosauridae, Spinosauridae and Allosauroidea. But what he could really kill upside down is the dinosaurs in ornithischia. Tyrannosaurus Rex will readily kill any dinosaur from Neornithischia, for example Ornithopoda (duckbills, Iguanodon, heterodontosaurids, hypsilophodontids, and relatives). But waht he really loves to kill and bisembowel is the members of Marginocephalia for example, Pachycephalosauria(thick-headed dinosaurs) and Ceratopsia (Triceratops and other frilled dinosaurs).

Chaptor 7 Humans

"Stop." Holland said.

"Humans made these tracks." Richard said.

"And they're fresh." Holland was amazed.

As they walked back toward the camp, they heard a strange sound.Behind some brush they saw a small tent. It was green, and covered with plants. Someone walked out of it. He was wearing a backpack loaded with weapons, such as gun, knives, and darts. He had a pack of bullets in his hand, and was loading his gun.

"They've found a Dilophosaurus nest and I'm going to be the firt to raid it." He was mumbling as he walked out to the woods.

As the crew went out to look in the tent, a Compy growled lowly at them. It looked as if it were guard the tent. Holland pushed him out of the way, and went into the tent. He looked at the various guns, knives, and bullets.

"There's noting here." Holland remarked.

"Who was that guy?" Konihi asked.

"Maybe this will help."

"This certificate goes to:

Andrew Moore,

For passing the test, and for volenterring to go to Magi Island." Holland read.

"Let me guess. This is Magi Island, right?" Chaff said.

"There is a good chance this is."

As they walked out they noticed that Andrew Moore, was still there. He didn't seem to notice them, though. Holland started to follow him. As everyone went to follow Holland, Andrew turned around. They all ducked behind some brush.

The followed Andrew until he stopped and gasped.

"Dilo eggs!" He gasped.

He did not know that behind him were the peering eyes of the mother.

As it turns out, we are not the only humans on this island. It also turns out that this is Magi Island.

The feathers I analyzed were those of an bird that lives here. I can not determine which one, at this time.
