I think most celeosaurs(sp?) had feathers,
but more of a downy covering rather than feathers like the ones modern
birds have. So I think dinosaurs like
raptors, oviraptors, troodontids, ostrich dinos and maybe tyrannosaurs had
feathers.

I thought of a good topic. What about if
dinos had feathers or not.

"This place used to be bustling with activity and now it's deserted. Someone HAS GOT to think of a topic. I'll keep trying to think of one."
This has gotten really bad. We need more people bad ways.
Hey, if only my parents agreed, I'd actually be prepared to pay for some more people to come here myself!

"My mother's a Physician so I know a lot
about diseases and viruses.
So you're constantly around people who you can talk to about important
and interesting stuff Tim. The most knowledgeable person I have ever
met about dinosaurs is a boy I was friends with way back in year 5;
junior school. He probably knew more biology then than anyone I know
now does.
What I meant in that case was not for my story, (but I could include
it. Bad guy falls into radioactive waste and dies agonisingly, like in
a movie, or something like that.) but about TV. I watch about the same
ammount of TV as another 14 year old boy does, the average dose of
radiation for a teenager, (especially now that I have sweet, sweet
cable...) so I was worrying if it's bad for me. I know that all light
is "radiation energy," but TV is more intensive than your average light
bulb, right?
It depends on how small a "small dose" is. A human can contract
leukemia and various cancers by being exposed to radiation. Of couse,
one cold also mutate."

"*OH YEAH, I THINK I'M GONNA REALLY LIKE
THIS POST...*It was reeally exciting when there would be more action in
the forum. There were 2 kinds of Hardcore Rex fans at that time: Those
who could make good points without insulting too much*NOW YOU MEAN
HONKIE, DON'T YOU? YOU MAY MEAN JOHN AND LEONARD TOO, BUT I WOULD
DISAGREE, ESPECIALLY IN JOHN'S CASE.*, and others who simply went
overboard. Here are some examples: "Get it through your numb
skull,","Moot and useless arguments","You don't know anything about
Triceratops", "Who's this Da masta? He sounds like a real jerk" *OH I
REMEMBER THAT LIKE IT WHERE YESTERDAY. AND THIS IS MEANT TO BE A SITE
FOR CHILDREN!!!...*
What I never understood is how these people could criticize Da masta
for "shooting his mouth off" and "swearing" (which he only did once,
and the response to that single word lasted for moths*[CHUCKLING] YEAH,
THAT WAS FUNNY! I EVEN CENSORED IT MYSELF. I WAS ONLY ANNOYED BY
HONKIE'S CONSTANT OBSESSION WITH T-REX. NOW YOU DON'T SEE ME RAVING ON
ABOUT THERIZINOSAURUS AND ATTACKING OTHER DINOSAURS. BUT I GUESS HONKIE
HAS THE RIGHT TO BE PASSIONATE ABOUT T-REX, (A REFRESHING CHANGE FROM
PEOPLE BEING OBSESSED WITH DAVID BECKHAM OR ROCK MUSIC OR SOME SUCH
DRIVEL,) AND I DID APOLOGISE AFTERWARDS. AND HONKIE NORMALLY DID HAVE
GOOD ARGUMENTS. HOWEVER, I WOULD HAVE BEEN GRATEFUL IF HONKIE ACTUALLY
ASKED FOR IT TO STOP HIMSELF.*) when they themselves weren't much
better at all!"

"It was fun... If you think hanging
yourself with electrified barbed wire is fun."
Aw, Joe Bob, didn't you like it?
It was always like a kinda surprise, like opening an Xmas present,
going on these boards. Who's posted? What did they post? What was their
reaction? What's the latest topic? What is HRF's latest war propaganda?
Joe Bob I know you where impersonated and insulted, and sometimes there
wasn't even anyone to stick up for you, but I got some of the
punishment too, you know. And I liked bouncing it back. I beat the HRF
at their own game, and the CNN mysteriously stopped posting, even
though they claimed "not to endorse the view of either the Hardcore Rex
Fans or Da Masta."
Like Honkie Tong said, (not his exact words,) "their aim is to
discredit you in front of other people." But I managed to pass off as a
nice guy, (most of the time, at least,) and make people realise how
evil most of the HRF really are, and I was even beggining to be quite
an influence here,(subject to opinions,) people where actually "joining
my side" and stuff like that. This had to be the Jazziest forum on the
web then.

"So, I'm posting again, happy?"
Yes. I want there to be more posts.
Thanks for trying to answer my question, too.
Hey, JC, if you don't mind me asking, even though it costs money to
have more people posting more, (doesn't it?) would you prefer there to
be more people? Do you miss what these boards used to be like months
ago? I really do.

Yes, I do. But since ad rates collapsed last year, they and zoomstore only pay for a fraction of our bandwidth. This site has to remain in a sort of hibernatory state until the economy improves (unless the honor system starts working). I think of this time period as an Internet mass extinction event, and we're determined to survive it. I now have to spend a lot of my time searching for funding to keep the site online, and don't have the time to read and upload hundreds of dinosaur posts, questions, and favorites that used to come in daily (which is why I had to close all the posting sites to non-members - those parts of the site are by far the most time-consuming ones). If we get to a state in which the site provides income I can hire someone to read and post entries, and again open it to everyone. JC

I totally agree with you da masta. I even
enjoyed the wars, for pete's sake, and the impersonations. it was kinda
entertaining figuring out who was the real person, and hearing a lot of
different people's ideas for stories. now there's verey little stories
and I'm the only one adding to it, and I keep hearng the same people
posting all the time (da masta, and Tim usually) and no debates.
Nothing to say. It was fun gping against HRF and proving them wrong
because they were saying any dinosaur other than T.rex was a loser and
could die from a papercut. (Allosaurus vs. T.rex war, late November
2001 Dinotalk)"

Answering da mastas question about the
brain(not really)....
I may be the only person in my whole grade who knows what malaria,
leprosy, hepatitis B and tourette's syndrome is, but I don't know much
about the brain. Part of me says that the brain will be damaged by
radiation and part of me says little doses of it can't hurt!

Oh, great, you're here.
Why aren't you posting?
No topics, huh?
Come to think of it, those passionate debates and wars and things where
fun. Now there's just five people who can't think of anything to say.
We used to have Honkie Tong, Brad, the HRF, renegade hardcore raptor
fans, evil people, paleontologists, little kids, the CNN, MAYHEM!
I want that! Boo hoo hoo!
