That is a laugh! Spinosaurus was not the largest dinosaur. JP3 made it
out like it was, but it's not. Again, another nieve person relying on
JP3 for cold, soild facts, but JP3 is fiction.
Yes, T.rex was nto the largest of the dinosaurus, but was certainly
one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful.
This board seems to be turning into a "My dinosaur is better than
yours" debate.

Spinosaurus is the last specis in a long
line of weak jawed, light bodied sauropods. Very little of Spino has
been found but most evidence points to a fish eating dino, like it's
closest cousin Baroynx something like that, I forgot how to spell it.
Spino really lacks the the neccessary equipment for a good hunter.
First are the teeth. T-rex has backward curving serrated
daggers that are a foot long, with 2/3 of the tooth anchored tight in
the extremely deep skull. Spino has cone teeth built for gripping
fish. But they are not backwards curving, making it easy for the
Spino to remove the fish from it's jaws to swallow it. Spinosaurus
has extremely swallow jaws so the teeth are poorly rooted.
Second are the jaws. T-rex has jaws that are extremely deep(
tall) making then strong, but also light. One look and you can tell
it was designed to bite down with incredible force. The Spino has
thin, swallow jaws designed to be nimble and dextrous in snapping up
fish. These jaws would not have been capable of bitting down with any
real force. Spino's relative Dilophosaursus (still can't spell) had
jaw bones that were wafer thin, and Spino's jaws might not have been
much better.
Lastly and most importantly is the next. Most theropods like
T-rex had the distinctive S-curve neck. T-rex's neck was short and
heavyily muscled. The S-curve allowed the muscles to have cross
attachments where they had better leverage, think fist versus open
hand. Spinosaursus was odd to be one of the few theropods missing
this S-curve, probably to extend the length of his reach so it could
reach more fish. Spino's neck was also thin, long, and weak.
Spino probably could not out-fight the allosaursus of the
period. It just simplely was not built for killing. A pure fish
eating like the harmless gharials of today. The Spino was probably a
rare site in it's day, patiently catching fish, ready to flee from an
Allosaurus that might give it trouble. If T-rex did fight
Spinosaurus, the Spino would have certainly been
slaugtered.

To Greg N. who posted:
"why does everyone hate the giganotosaurus it is the largest get over

There are two new tyrannosaur specimens. One is called "C-Rex" which
is currently being excavated by Jack Horner. The other is called
"Rigby's Rex" and I believe it has been excavated, but a case similar
to that of Sue's has developed, and a legal battle may ensue. Both
are contender's for the largest carnivorous dinosaur, as C-Rex is 10%
larger than Sue, and Rigby's Rex is 15% larger than than the current
Giganatosaur.

James, T-rex will MASSACARE
Giganotosaurus! Juz look at this!
Okay, the rules are this, a team of ten Gigantosaurus are going to
fight a team of three T.Rexes, Sue, Suzie and Sue-Imperator. You may
be asking why are the teams unbalanced? Well, lets just say even if
the odds were 10 to 1, it still wouldn't be fair. Combat will be
team-tag style. Ready, Yes? But let's interview our special guests
first.
Bill: Hey Rock, who do you think will win?
Ps:Note that unlike a wrestling match, the animals here really get
hurt!
Sue: I'm first.
(Camera pans to review The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin)
The Rock: T.Rex, cos IT DOSEN'T MATTER what the Gigantosaurus do!
Stone Cold: Naa, I say the Gigantosaurus will win. They are
bigger.
The Rock: Do you really think so?
Stone Cold: Yes, becau-

I believe you have been badly mistaken in
your fight in Allosaurus vs. Tyrannosaurus. Firstly, Allosaurus has
been proven to have a very weak bite force, and would be incapable of
doing what you said. Sorry, a 4-ton Allo won't jump and T-Rex was too
agile for it anyway...end result? Look at the picture of the
Allosaurus trophy in the dinopic page.

this is what i think would happen between
these fights everyone fights over okay.
Gigantosaurs vs Trex
T rex VS Allosaurs.
first see Allosaurs is smaller then t rex so everyone thinks it just
kill but...
Allosaurs would just dogde the kill bite from the Trex cause it's
smaller and could just kinda bend down cause it's more agile then jump
up bite Trex in the throught crushing it pull Trex to the ground and
then just rip it and pull meat out.
Trex VS Spino
sence Spino was lighter it would be more agile then so the Spino could
dogde all the slow powerful jaws from the Trex and Spino still has a
strong bite but see Trex would go for the clean kill the Spino would
dogde running to the side cut the Trex stomach apart bite its head pull
it off then eat it.
Trex is smaller but Gigantaosaurs would just bite its head throw it the
ground because it overpowers the Trex and bite it in
half.

euoplacephulas, I happen to have
handled some form of real heavy, bazooka-like weaponary
before (to be specific, a SA-13 Igla) and I will tell you
honestly that these buggers are incredibily hard and
potentially dangerous to use! And what bazooka are you
refering to? The ones that you described seem capable of
blowing a 6-ton animal to bits, so I'll assume it's no M-72
LAW, but something much bigger like a Carl-Gustav 80mm
recoiless rifle or the Isreali SMAW. Well, in that case, any
"bazooka" will be much too heavy for a kid from 8-12 to
carry. (13, is considered teenager) Those "bazookas" are
excessively heavy (18-25 kilos!)and even require two-man
crews to operate efficently. And yes, they even need
specialized training to use such weapons! To shoot a simple
bazooka, you need to compensate for rocket trajectory, wind
drift, gravitional decay, shooting downhill, backblast
consideration, ammo-type charastic (ap sabots are more stable
than HEAT or HE!
warheads), sight-zeroing, range, target movement, lead
compensation, firing stance, holding the weapon correctly,
getting a proper sight-picture, stabilizing your weapon. And
these are just to mention, a few things you have to be
trained in to avoid blowing yourself into a ragged, bloody,
half-piece of meat.
No euoplacephulas, not only is using a bazooka something you
just can't learn by playing video games. In fact, a kid
trying a bazooka is a stupid, dangerous idea and you can get
yourself killed easily if you don't know what you are doing.
In fact, I don't think you kids should even be playing with
such dangerous things at all. Do you not have any idea how
dangerous firearms can be? This is disturbing behaviour
coming from a kid, I do not want to see you talking about
"kids using guns to kill" anymore, you're still too young and
have no inking of mortality! Leave the topic of firearms to
that of the older people of this forum!

"Also, how could he blow himself
up, unless he was holding it backwards, and anyone 8 or over

He dosen't have to aim it backwards, if he's not careful, the
backblast of the rocket can cook him if he chose the wrong
firing area. Also, a lack of proper training will mean the
person is more of a danger to himself to anybody. You
probably don't know this but you can shoot a rocket into the
ground infront of you and blow yourself to bits even if you
think you have it pointed at the emeny. And that's a small
bunch in hte number of possibilities you can kill yourself if
you are...well a kid handling a bazooka... No, bazookas are
NOT for kids and weapons manufacturers have a good reason not
to allow them. Now you better not mention this
again.

"Come on, someone side with me!
That thing was not a Ceratosaurus! There are also two other
new dinosaurs to the series in JP3: Corythosaurus and some
sort of ankylosaur."
I agree with you...maybe it is some sort of undiscovered
_Ceratosaurus_ descendant, or some sort of other undiscovered
horned theropod.

Actually, the a bazooka would be
too heavy for a child to easily wield and he is more prone to
missing and blowing himself up with it anyway. And did I
mention all this was illegal too?

T-rex vs Spinosaurus (the real
version,not JP3)
Spinosaurus grabs hold of T-rex neck, but T-rex breaks free
and Spinosaurus gets mauled. Then T-rex grabs hold of
Spinosaurus' neck and crushes his trachia and gets ready for
dinner.

T-REX VS CHILD
Child hides under a rock when he sees T-rex, grabs a
strategically placed bazooka, fires it at T-rex, and turns
T-rex into bacon bits. Child gets a long lecture from his
mother, something about ruining new clothes with T-rex guts.

All you t.rex fans have done,is
focus on the strong points of t.rex, and not giganotosaurus!
Not everything I post is a myth! (just another excuse,to
elevate t.rex above the rest, isn't it?) There is no debate
here,we already know giganotosaurus can beat t.rex.(Are you
guys so dense, that I have to draw a picture for you?!!!) If
you love Sue so much, why don't you marry her?! Anyway,i'm
going to do some research on the desighn of
giganotosaurus.YOU HAVEN'T SEEN,THE LAST OF

"Question Honkie Tong. Why do you
try to debunk everything I say?"
Actually I don't think he's trying to debunk you at all, even
I agree that almost everythign you put out is inaccucrate.
Honkie just keeps beating me to correcting all the myths you
are putting out, so I decide not to add salt to your injury.
But really, you seem to be making up the facts as you go
along. Let me show you:
Allosaurus claws are harder than steel (COMPLETELY
FALSE!)
All these above are but a small part in a gigantic list or
errors, the list goes on, can you blame anybody for even
trying (actually they don't need to try, it's too easy to
debunk) to debunk you.
Big Al was 12 meters long (Horribly inflated)
Allosaurus had a strong bite
Giganotosaurus had big arms
Giganotosaurus had big teeth
Giganotosaurus was 10 tons
Giganotosaurus had a strong bite
Holes in the skull were used to add muscle (ABSOLUTELY
UNTRUE!)
Giganotosaurus had specific adaptations for a septic
bite...

I think I'll adopt Honkie's
method for answering posts.
"first of all,we're talking about an animal that weighs 10
tons,with a skull about 6 feet,and 46-47 feet length on
average, vs. An animal thats 39-43 feet in length-weighing 7
tons on average."
"And look at the skull,of giganotosaurus compared to an
average sized t.rex skull! Also, the openings on the sides,of
theropod skulls, are used to incase muscle. Judging by the
size of the openings on the skull of giganotosaurus,i'd
expect a pretty good bite."
Uh on, sean, you are showing your very limited understanding
of dinosaurs again. The holes in the skull were not used to
increase muscle, they were used to decrease weight! In any
case, bite force comes from the muscles at the base of the
jaw, not in the skull! Giganotosaurus narrow jaws prevent him
from packing a good bite at all. And I'm afraid the larger
holes in his skull make him quite a tad more fragile. And
erm, Giganotosaurus never met hardosaurs or horned dinos at
all! And in any case, they'll be much too fast for him to
catch!
Erm, actually the offical length of Giganotosaurus is about
43-44 feet, you seem to be using the figures first released
when the size was an estimate. Giganotosaurus certaily didn't
weight 10 tons at all. In fact, even 8 tons seems a little
hefty.
"I suppose a t.rex could beat giganotosaurus,if it suprised
one. But if a t.rex made its presence, known to the
giganotosaurus, the chances are,t.rex is going to lose."
I don't think T.rex took on any animal without the element of
surprise. And as I have said, Giganotosaurus would most
likely lose, given his serious handicaps in speed, agility,
intelligence and firepower.
"Let me know,when you'r done researching,live dinosaurs!"
Maybe you should start doing some reserch, almost 99 percent
of the stuff you put up here has been debunked in the most
ungraceful way. Think about it, your situtation is almost
laughable!
