Names of Hurricanes See how hurricanes are named and why some names are not used anymore. Circle the names of people you know on the list of upcoming storm names - they might have a storm named for them. Suggested discussion point: Ask the students why the question on the printout said, "they might have a storm named for them."? (It's because if there aren't very many storms in a year and if their friend's name starts with a letter late in the alphabet, then that name won't be used that year.)
