Parts of Speech Word Wheel Make a wheel about the eight parts of speech using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, the parts of speech appear together with a definition and two examples. The parts of speech are: noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. The student then writes down the parts of speech and an example for each.	Pets Word Wheel Make a pet word wheel using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, eight pet words are formed, one at a time: cat, dog, hamster, bird, turtle, horse, fish, and rabbit. The student then writes down the word wheel words and other pets.	Phases of Matter Wheel Make a phases of matter wheel using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, three phases of matter appear: solid, liquid, and gas (plus an explanation and some examples of each). The student then writes down the phases of matter and one example of each.	Pink Word Wheel Make a word wheel about 8 pink things using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. After putting the wheel together, the student colors the pictures. When you spin the wheel, the 8 pink things appear, one at a time. The words are: flamingo, ham, piglet, tongue, watermelon, cotton candy, tutu, and bubble gum. The student then writes the words in alphabetical order (plus two other pink things).
Planets Word Wheel Make a planets wheel using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, eight planets appear (with a few facts for each), one at a time: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The student then writes down the planets (in order), and other objects in our Solar System.	Punctuation Marks Word Wheel Make a wheel about punctuation marks using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, punctuation marks appear together with a definition. The punctuation marks are: period, comma, question mark, hyphen, dash, parentheses, apostrophe, ellipsis, quotation mark, colon, semicolon, exclamation point. The student then writes down the punctuation marks and an example for each.	Purple Word Wheel Make a word wheel about 8 purple things using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. After putting the wheel together, the student colors the pictures. When you spin the wheel, the 8 purple things appear, one at a time. The words are: plum, violets, grapes, amethyst, iris, eggplant, turnip, and lilac. The student then writes the words in alphabetical order (plus two other purple things).
