Common Compound Words Word Wheel #1 Make a wheel about common compound words using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with two wheels that spin around. When you spin the wheels, many common compound words appear. The inner wheel has the words any, every, no, and some. The outer wheel has the words: body, day, how, one, thing, time, where, and what. The student then writes down the compound words that are formed by the wheel (not every pair is a proper word). Answers: anybody, anyhow, anyone, anything, anytime, anywhere, everybody, everyday, everyone, everything, everywhere, nobody, nothing, nowhere, somebody, someday, somehow, someone, something, sometime, somewhat, somewhere. |
